  Q. What is SSTDR?
  A. SSTDR stands for spread spectrum Time Domain Reflectometry. It differs from traditional TDR measurement devices by using multiple spread spectrum signals.
  Q. Can the Power Prowler measure a single conductor?
  A. No, TDR and SSTDR require two conductors to measure a wire or cable
  Q. What’s the Difference between Fault Location and Live Event Detection?
  A. The Fault Location test performs a single cable measurement to a fault. The Live Intermittent Fault Detection will monitor a cable and identify an intermittent fault.
  Q. Why do cable measurements like Romex differ in length using the Power Prowler when coiled vs. uncoiled?
  A. The cable impedance can be affected by coiling it because it creates inconsistency between the spacing of the conductors which can affect the VOP value.
  Q. I don’t know what my cable VoP is.
  A. The Power Prowler can discover your cable’s VoP in the Fault Location menu. Connect to a known length of cable that’s at least 15ft long (for best accuracy, connect to a 50ft or longer cable). Press the CAL soft key and use the up and down arrow buttons to enter the length of the cable. Press the test button to calibrate. Please refer to the instruction manual for more details.
  Q. Why does the voltage fluctuate in Multi-Meter mode?
  A. The Power Prowler has a high sensitivity digital multi meter mode. Fluctuations will be detected and displayed. If the voltage fluctuation is significant, select Min/Max soft key, then select the “Average” soft key.
  Q. What is the warranty on the Power Prowler?
  A. One year from date of purchase.
